Week 34 - August 24. 2020 - mArrIAgE & CoMmiTmENt

What a WEEK! it's been crazy but in the best way! We have been staying SO busy and finding people to teach!!! We are STOKED!!

Everyone moved in this week because UVU starts school today! We are so excited because this means that people will be walking around and we can walk on campus and we can be more involved!!! Its so exciting!!! 

We found someone named Diana and she is the best!! She has no religious background and is growing so much. We met her on an elevator and she agreed to meet with us. She. Is. AMAZING! She is definitely a blessing for us!

We start becoming more involved with the institute this week! Soooo if you're on campus.... come say HI!!!! I love getting to serve here. It's amazing. 

Something I've been reading about this week and thinking about is how much God loves us. Mistakes and all. We are His children. I think it's really easy to beat ourselves up and not forgive ourselves for the mistakes we have made, but our Savior wants us to lean on him. We need to turn to Him and he will help us heal. Our Heavenly Father is waiting with open arms to forgive us. All we have to do is ask:)

Week 33 - August 17, 2020 - So, What's For Lunch?

 Helloooooo New York! 

This week has been good! Also, it is ridiculously hot outside. I'm not okay with this. Thank goodness I have a car. 

There's not a whole lot to talk about today as this week has been a lot of the same things! We had zone conference which was good! It was full 6 hour thing! It feels so good to have things start (kind of) to get back to normal! I will say that I was very tired by the end of it though. 

We didn't find any new people this week but we might be having a lesson with a new person tonight!!! I am SO excited. Getting out of the house and seeing people is one of my favorite things! I'm so stoked. God is good!! 

I've been thinking a lot about how important it is to develop a relationship with our Heavenly Father. What we need to understand is that he is like a dad and wants to help us and counsel with us. He is not a vending machine. He is SO much more. And we need to learn how we can communicate with him better. I know sometimes I just say my prayers out of habit but it's so important that we think about what we are saying and what we are asking for. God answers prayers, but it's up to us whether or not we choose to listen.

Week 32 - August 10, 2020 - Men will be pushed for their own sins

Woot woot! Another week down! Honestly, this week was such a reminder of how much I LOVE missionary work. Like, I can't believe I almost didnt come back out. So glad I did. 

This week is hard to remember. But it was good! We knocked a LOT of doors. Our weekend was rough because no one was home:( maybe next week though! I can feel it!!

We went hiking earlier today and it was beautiful!! I love spending time with my missionary friends and being in nature. It did lowkey kill me but I dont wanna talk about it... 

In case anyone was wondering, I HAVE been riding my bike. We ride it for exercise in the morning and not to brag, I'm doing a pretty great job at it ! 

This week as I was taking the Sacrament (at church because church started!!) All I could think about while I was taking the bread and water, was how lucky I am to know who my Savior is. To know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who wants what is best for me and is aware of my struggles. I am never alone. And I've come to know that for myself. That's why I'm so happy to get to share that with others. My life is so much better when I'm following Christ and I will never not love this gospel. This church is true.

Week 31 - August 3, 2020 - Call Me A Hair Professional

Hey guys!! 

I cut people's hair this week. It was wonderful. 

Crazy week and long week but we have some exciting news. We are officially allowed to knock doors!!! I am STOKED cause that means we can contact all the people who wont text us back!! 

This week was good though. A lot of the same things. Had a 6 hour leadership meeting which was good but I was EXHAUSTED. Lots of good things but also lots of reminders on the restrictions of COVID but it's okay. Just glad to be a missionary. 

The hardest part of our week was when we waited 3 and a half hours for an oil change!!! It was awful but it's okay. We saw God in the details of our life so good day overall. 

I'm really tired but I just want to talk about how grateful I am for God letting me be a missionary again. My life is kind of a hot mess but I've never been happier than when I'm focusing and serving the Savior. Thank you for all the support. I love you. And I'm very tired. I'll send more later.
