Week 41 - October 12, 2020 - Silly Bean

 Welcome back to my channel!

Transfers happened and I got a new comp!! Her name is Sister Vela! She is SO cute and fun! She is also from Oregon (St. Paul) and we get along great! Already love her. I still live with Sister Hart and her new companion, Sister Howard. It makes me happy:) I love 4 pads!!

We have seen SO many miracles happen lately in our area! We found 5 new people to teach this week and put someone on date for baptism!!! God is SO good. Also, can I just say that I love bringing people closer to Christ and helping them find peace??? Like, that is so rad that that's my job right now!!

Oh, our district made a goal to eat 1,000 eggs in the next 6 weeks as a whole. So far, it's going pretty well! Hopefully the eggs dont kill us!

I have been feeling so focused on the work lately, and it has felt SO good. God is so good!!! I love being a missionary. I feel like sometimes its hard to commit to certain things for me, but this gospel is one thing that's always been easy to commit to. Because it's true. And I've felt that. How lucky am I to know who I am and where I'm going? Doesnt mean my life isn't hard. But it does mean that life is a little easier knowing that God and Christ are on my side:)

I love you all so much!! Thanks for everything!!!

Love,
Sister Brady❤

Week 40 - October 5, 2020 - Is for meeeee???

 another week bites the dust.

Transfers are happening and I'm staying!!! Yay!!!! So pumped.

this week wasn't super crazy or anything. hermana brown and sister hart were cooking soup though and we have a lid piece on our blender that's missing, SO they decided it would be a good idea for one of them to put their hand over that hole. the soup was boiling hot btw. ssoooooo basically hermana brown puts her hand over the hole and sister hart starts the blender and hermana brown BURNS her hand. it was not funny, but at the same time it was hilarious. i am still laughing about it.

also, general conference this week was amazing!!! so many inspired talks and so much talk about unity. I love it. honestly, there were so many things that i needed to hear. one of the biggest things was the talk about finding joy during this time. it is so easy to focus on the negative and to not know how to respond to it all. but there are so many tender mercies and blessings that have come from this pandemic. I am so grateful for the time i got to spend with my family back home. i am grateful for this opportunity that i get now to help people find peace during this time.

i love this gospel. i am so blessed to be a part of something so beautiful. i love you guys. stay safe.

love,
sis brady

Week 39 - September 28, 2020 - shooty kabooty big booty juudyyyy

 Heyyyyy!!!

So this week has been good!! we found someone new to teach which is AWESOME!! She is super cool, so I am hoping that all goes well with her!!

This week we had a zone conference which is the BEST!! We ended up going to the one across the mission because our mission president and his wife asked us to sing our Where can I turn for peace/Be still my soul mashup!! It actually went a lot better than I anticipated that it would. I get so nervous singing in front of people, so I was really proud of myself.

Speaking of being proud of myself, I made a meal for me and the sisters in my apartment!! I made Cincinnati Chili and BREAD. AND IT ACTUALLY TURNED OUT GOOD YOU GUYS!! I am so happy. I was very stressed. But needless to say, my fasting clearly worked out for me. hahaahh jk but also not. I am not a cook.

We did exchanges this week and that was kind of fun! I was exhausted by the end of the day. It was fun to get to know some of the sisters! It is definitely weird to be an STL (sister training leader) right now. Wish me luuuucckkk.

I have been thinking a lot about my missionary purpose. These past two weeks have been insane and I have been so overwhelmed by different things. The only thing that I am really certain of right now is that I want to be a missionary. I want to be here in Utah helping people grow closer to Jesus Christ. I am happiest when I am working on my relationship with God. And right now, I am perfectly okay with that being the focus of my life right now. I am so lucky to be here. It was hard being home. I will never take being a missionary for granted again. God truly does bless us. I can testify of that.

I love you guys!!! Thank you for everything you give me!!

love,
Sis. Brady

Week 38 - September 21, 2020 - I'm ded, right?

Wow oh wow, what a week. Where do I even begin?? (I feel like I start off every weekly like this?? my b)

First off, DIANA GOT BAPTIZED!!! It was my first baptism being back on the mission and Sister Hart's first baptism ever! And it was even more beautiful than you could imagine. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to meet and teach Diana. She says that we were a blessing in her life, but she was definitely a blessing in ours. I can't imagine not meeting her. God knew what he was doing that day we met her in an elevator!!

Other than that, we have been teaching a ton this week. I feel like we have been super busy. We are having to be cautious due to a COVID outbreak in Orem. That's a little stressful, but we are being safe, wearing masks, and sanitizing a ton. So please, for the sake of the missionaries in the world, wash your hands and WEAR A MASK. Thank you, that's my rant today.

I love living with the hermanas. They are SO much fun. Maybe we are having too much fun with them?? I honestly never thought that I would love living in a four pad this much!!!! Plus we all work at the institute together so we can carpool and save miles. God. Bless. But yeah, definitely some of my fav people.

We didn't find any new people to teach this week, but I have HOPE FOR NEXT WEEK. There are people who are ready and willing to hear our message, we just have to find them! We put Remy on date for October 3rd though!!! Please please please keep him in your prayers.

My heart has been so happy with where I am at lately. It has definitely been a really hard two years, but I have no doubt that God has a plan for me. My mistakes make me who I am. I am grateful for the hard experiences I have had because they have made me stronger. I can't wait to come back and share all of my stories with you guys. and if ANY OF YOU are thinking of serving a mission, DO IT.

I LOVE YOU!!!!!!
Sister Brady

Week 37 - September 14, 2020 - Is Thor your favorite superhero? No, he's just a dog.

 Hey hey hey!

WE CAN GO INTO HOUSES AGAIN! YOU GUYS! THIS IS SO EXCITING!!! I'M STOKED!!!

This week has been super busy and kind of eventful but at the same time not? We have been finding at least one person a week and it is AWESOME! The work is moving forward y'all. God. Is. Good.

We had a really cool experience and got to hear from an apostle. Elder Stevenson spoke to our mission over zoom and talked a lot about how we are where we are meant to be. It was so comforting and beautiful to hear. I'm so grateful to be a missionary.

God has a plan y'all. I love you guys and I honestly don't know what else to say. But stay strong. I'm praying for Oregon and those struggling right now. Love you all.

Love,
Sister Brady

Week 36 - September 7, 2020 - Heyoooo!! What a week!

Heyoooo!!

What a week! Update on my headache, I might be going to see the nurse soon because it hasn't really improved so PLEASE KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS!!!

Anyways, as for this week it's been pretty busy! Monday was fun! We are having to play socially distanced sports so we have been playing pickleball which is not for me but its fine hahahah.

Our schedule has been full of lessons and we found someone new to teach! There has been a spike in cases so we are having to be a bit more careful. But other than that we are still getting out.

Had a 7 hour leadership meeting this week too. It was really good! Our mission President talked a lot about sacrifice! When we sacrifice, God is gonna give us so much more!!! That's so cool!!!

I've been thinking a lot about temples this week. They are SO COOL!! there are so many blessings that come from them and I cant wait to get married there and make more promises with God. (But like also I can so don't worry hahahaha)

Love you all. Sorry this email is short.

Love,
Sister Brady💛

Week 35 - August 31, 2020 - Who said that????

Oh hi! Didn't see you there!

This week was good! We survived transfers which is awesome!! We also got a new Spanish sister, Hermana Brown!! She is amazing!!! We have definitely had a fun week in our 4 pad!! Lots of changes happened and Sister Ducharme and Sister Barrett left:(((

We shot a music video for the page as well! That should be premiering soon! I'm SO excited. I love music so much.

We also had a MIRACLE happen... DIANA IS GETTING BAPTIZED THIS SATURDAY. We weren't planning on inviting her to be baptized this week, but the spirit told me otherwise and let me tell you, I'm SO glad I listened. So we are going to meet with her hopefully everyday this week, and then I will have pictures of her baptism next week! She is the BEST. God is good.

It's been a long week and I have had a headache for 13 days now... I'm not sure what's wrong?? But let me tell you that God is amazing. He has helped me have the strength that I've needed all week. I honestly don't know how I would have made it through without him. Despite the chronic pain, I have found myself falling more and more in love with what I do. This is amazing work. And especially right now, with everything going on in the world, I know this is where I need to be.

Well, i love you guys. It's not a long letter but my brain is tired. Thanks for your love and support and letters!!! Sorey I'm bad at responding sometimes:(

LOVE YOU,
Sister Brady

PS. I chopped off my hair! Oops!
